Get Glowing

Highlighters have been extremely popular the past couple of years. I have to say that I  have become completely obsessed with them. I will ALWAYS finish my makeup with a touch of highlight on my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose.

Whether you like a full glam look or a subtle natural lit from within glow, there are many highlighters to choose from. I love swatching, testing, and trying new hues. From the drugstore to luxury department stores, there a hundreds of goodies to try. Depending on your skin tone, there’s a shade for you. Here are my loves currently.

Shine on!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold

If you are medium to dark skin toned, this little guy is for you. The rose gold gives a nice warmth to the skin that looks amazing all year round. This also doubles as a great center of the lid pop of shadow.

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette

Yes, I know this is technically more of a ‘contour kit’ but there is a cream highlight that is incredible. The formula is creamy, not greasy, and glides very well over foundation without it budging. This would look great on any skin tone, especially on fair or lighter skin.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

This palette is universally flattering on everyone. There are three different Ambient powders in this palette. One is an all over face powder, the middle is more designed for the high points of the face (tops of cheeks, forehead, bridge of nose), and the right is a bronzey-just back from vacay shade. These powders are so finely milled, it’s impossible to be heavy  handed.
