COVER FX Custom enhancer drops, Moonlight, $42
One word, MAGICAL. I cannot describe how much I adore this liquid highlighter. This can be used a multitude of ways. One way is to mix a couple drops in with your foundation for an all over natural glow. Another way (my favorite way) is after applying your liquid foundation-before your setting powder, take one drop and apply it to the top off your cheekbones, cupids bow, inner corner of your eyes, and the tip of your nose. This color is specifically great for medium to deep skin tones or if you have a bit of a tan. This little guy will last you long after the expiration date I am sure because you only need the tiniest bit for a big color payoff.
Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder, Incandescent, $38
I have talked about the amazing innovative Ambient powders that Hourglass have formulated and this one does not dissapoint. This highlighter is on the more natural side and can be used all over the face or just on the high points. I personally love this when I have no makeup on to enhance my skin just a tad. This color is great for fairer skin tones. This gives your skin a glow that is great for everyday use.
Becca’s pressed highlighters are so finely milled and provide a mega impact on the skin. They have that ‘wet’ effect when applied and look great with a bold eye or lip look. The color Opal is my personal favorite as it has this champagne gold undertone that would look great on any skintone. This formula does not enhance any texture or fine lines your might have near the cheek/eye area. This is my year-round favorite.
Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter, Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal, $34
This highlighter is newer to my collection and I have quickly become obsessed. Yes, I do love the unique packaging but the duo highlighter is the best part. The duo that I picked up has a bit of a glow that looks great mixed in with your blush. This highlighter is also on the subtler end so it can be worn during the day without feeling ‘overdone’.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, Gleam, $29.58
Now, if you are in to full impact-obviously wearing a highlighter look, then Anastasia’s Glow Kits will be your jam. I personally have Gleam but I would recommend any of the kits available. You can find them at Sephora, Ulta, or Macy’s. You get the most amount of product for your money with this product. You also get a great variation of shades in each kit so if you only had one highlighter this would be a great buy. These shades can be worn wet as well. Just spray a little setting spray/water onto your highlighter brush and dust the brush into the powder then to your skin. This looks extra pretty at night if you are going out to a dimly lit space.
What’s your ride or die highlighter? Do you like a full impact or subtler formula?
