Hi Friends! I filmed my first video EVER talking about all the goodies I purchased at Sephora. Although it does take getting used to talking to a camera, I feel like the more I do it the more I will be comfortable. Feel free to give it a watch and let me know if you would like to see more videos from me and if you have any suggestions on topics you would like me to cover. 🙂
Sephora has TWO sales a year, one in the spring and one closer to holiday season. This sale is for there ‘Very Important Beauty’ and ‘Beauty Insiders’, which is a free membership program they offer. This sale only lasts a couple days and lets you get 15% off your entire purchase if you are a VIB (Very Important Beauty) or 10% if you are a BI (Beauty Insider).
Makeup and skincare rarely go on sale, so this is a great time to stock up on all your favorite products or try out anything new you’ve been eyeing. Of course, I had to participate in the sale and thought I would share with you all the fun stuff I brought home with me.
Nars Highlighting Powder, Fort De France, $38
Nars recently came out with these face highlighters about a month ago and they are absolutely beautiful in person. They are definitely on the more natural end compared to Anastasia or Becca highlighters. Fort De France, above, is a champagne hue that would suit any skin tone. I will definitely be wearing this all spring/summer.
Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver, 102 Matte Raspberry, $34
Lip Glow’s by Dior have been around forever, however, they just brought out two matte shades that act like a balm stain. There is a magenta, above, color and a light pink shade available in the matte finish. The 101, Matte Pink is clearly a best seller as it was sold out. So far I really enjoy this formula and will definitely be picking up the 101 shade when it is back in stock.
Lilly Lashes, Mykonos, $30
Lilly Lashes collaborated with Sephora Collection to repack her most popular lashes. I picked up Mykonos, one of her best sellers, and I am so pumped to finally try these out. They are meant to be full glam and voluminous which is perfect for a wedding I am attending coming up.
Huda Beauty Easy Lash, Camille #16, $18
This specific lash caught my eye because they are basically half of a lash (pre-trimmed too). They would be worn on the outer edge of each eye to give a wide-eyed look. Definitely more on the natural side compared to the Lilly Lashes above.
This latex free lash glue is pretty standard and can be found at CVS and Wallgreens as well. This little brush is very easy to use on the lash band which I prefer compared to the squeeze tube.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Trooper, $20
This matte black liquid liner is hands down the best liquid liner. The pencil-like packaging makes it easy to apply and the felt tip never frays. If you are in the search of a liquid liner-look no further. I have been using this for years and I will continue to do so!
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick, Sugar Mama, $20
This nude-pink liquid lipstick looks beautiful on freshly exfoliated lips. You do not need a lip liner, but make sure to apply a balm prior. This shade is natural and perfect for brunch or a day date.
Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation, Buff, $46
After wanting a more travel friendly foundation, I decided to give Hourglass’s stick foundation a shot. This is said to be full coverage, a concealer and foundation in one, waterproof, and weightless like a powder. I have only worn it twice and liked that it was buildable. I did notice it started to breakup around my nose after about 5 hours. I will continue to wear it and try different setting powders to see if I can get it to last all day. Will keep you updated!
Did you pick up anything during the sale or do you love any of the products I mentioned?
ALSO, don’t forget to leave your recommendations for video’s if you liked my first one above.
